Culinary

Culinary Arts students are trained in cooking, baking, catering, and restaurant service. Students train in a state-of-the-art kitchen and on-site restaurant. All culinary instructors hold a Food Allergen Awareness Certification and a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification.

Which skills are learned?

Knife skills, cooking methods, cake decorating and pastry preparation, menu planning, catering event set up, dining room service, food safety and sanitation.

Server, host, line cook, prep cook, dishwasher, customer service/counter help, pastry cook

With additional training / education, what jobs are available?

Restaurant manager, restaurant owner, executive chef, food scientist, food critic, research chef, bakery owner, and pastry chef.
